How We Work
Our yard based staff ensure all the vehicles are correctly assigned, prepared and safely loaded with the necessary work equipment. This is carried out at least 30 minutes before the scaffolding team arrive at work.
Dedicated supervisors are assigned to all contracts to manage the day to day activities and efficient use of resources. They will develop all necessary delivery plans and schedules including Risk Assessments, Method Statement and Tool Box Talks, all of which are relayed to the operatives on a daily basis. For the duration of all operations our supervisors visit site regular and carry out inspections along with a scaff tagging system and whilst on site they liaise with site management on progress and any changes that may occur are identified and discussed.
At the end of each day the scaffolding team return all vehicles and equipment to the yard. The yard based team inspect and unload the vehicles and equipment and make preparation for the following day. Any defected equipment are recycled in accordance with the material.
The transport manager is responsible for vehicle maintenance and allocation of usage. Lenehan’s fleet consists of 8 heavy goods vehicles and 4 Combi vans. Our fleet is maintained by Mick Wilson Commercials Ltd, 134 Clydesdale Place, Moss Side Industrial Estate, Leyland PR26 7QS in accordance with VOSA and DVLA requirements and we also hold the relevant operators licence.
Our office based staff our responsible for the day to day administration and financial management of all our works and all telephone calls come into the company via our busy reception.
All scaffolders are directly employed in accordance with the requirements of the TG 20.
Operatives are not recruited without first passing a scaffolding competence and experience test. They are all CITB qualified.
On site supervisors are trained to check the condition of equipment to ensure that no unauthorised cutting, slackening, removal or damage occurs whilst equipment is erected. They also appraise the job health and safety.
